After a life time of usual the usual lip balms (that I won’t name, but you know who I’m talking about) the Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm was a blessed relief!
It starts out a little bit hard at first (like some of those other unnamed lip balms always behave) with a little bit of a drag, but softens right up with use. It’s long lasting and kept my lips soft long after it had worn off!
This is a very good quality lip balm for $2.49 / .15 oz tube. It’s well worth it!
I only have one warning for you, and that is the scent: I personally loved it and thought it seemed like a natural honey-type scent. The first time I wore it though and my hubby went to kiss me, he said “EUGH! What is THAT!” He absolutely hated it. As I’ve looked on the internet at other reviews though, that seems to be the way it goes. Some people like the scent, or don’t even notice it while others are really offended by it to the point that they can’t use the product.
If there’s any way you can, try to get a whiff of it before buying. If you like the scent, you’ll love this lip balm! It’s definitely one of the best ones on the market.
Ingredients: Shea Butter, Almond Oil, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Candelilla Wax, Lanolin, Comfrey Root, Honey Powder, Rosemary Extract, Vegetable Oil, Fragrance

I must agree this product is really awesome. Now I can’t buy any other product and no other product is good enough! I buy a bunch at a time so I can have them everywhere around my house, at my office and in my purse. I highly recommend checking out their new initiatives on saving the honey bees. When you purchase Burt’s Bees lip balm 5% of proceeds go to help fund research on Colony Collapse Disorder (http://www.burtsbees.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=17013&catalogId=10051&storeId=10001&langId=-1).

I’ve used both this and the original BB lip balm (the peppermint one), and I have to agree with the smell being rather strong at first. Eventually I got used to it though, and it’s a good winter lip balm if you don’t want the peppermint. Other than that, I think it’s basically the same as the original.
